Job Title: Senior Estimator – General Main Contractor

Location: Central London (Hybrid – up to 2 days WFH)

Salary: Up to £95,000 + Package

We are working with a well-established, family-run general contractor with a strong reputation for delivering high-quality projects across residential, education, commercial, and healthcare sectors within the M25. With a large proportion of work coming from repeat clients, they are now looking to appoint a Senior Estimator to lead their estimating team and play a key role in securing future Design & Build projects typically ranging from £5m to £20m.

Key Responsibilities:

• Take full ownership of tender submissions from initial enquiry through to final submission
• Lead the estimating department and contribute to strategic growth and business development
• Represent the business confidently at senior level with clients, consultants, and stakeholders
• Prepare detailed cost estimates and tender documentation for Design & Build projects
• Liaise with suppliers and subcontractors to obtain competitive pricing and technical input
• Review drawings, specifications, and employer’s requirements to assess scope and risks
• Support pre-construction activities and handover to delivery teams

Skills & Experience:

• Proven experience as a Senior Estimator within a general contracting environment
• Strong understanding of Design & Build procurement and estimating processes
• Excellent communication and leadership skills
• Ability to manage multiple tenders and work to tight deadlines
• Commercially astute with a collaborative mindset
• Comfortable working in a family-run business with a hands-on culture
