Overview

An established specialist within the steel fabrication sector is seeking a skilled Tekla Draughtsperson to join their growing design team. This role is ideal for someone with strong experience across both Structural Steel and Architectural Metalwork, who is confident producing high-quality 3D models and detailed fabrication drawings.

Key Responsibilities

• Produce accurate Tekla Structures models, GA drawings, fabrication drawings, and assembly details.
• Work on a wide range of projects including structural frames, staircases, balustrades, platforms, secondary steelwork, and bespoke architectural metalwork.
• Interpret engineer and architect drawings, ensuring all models are compliant with project specifications and relevant standards.
• Liaise with project managers, engineers, and the workshop team to resolve design queries.
• Coordinate with site teams to ensure smooth delivery and installation.
• Ensure drawings are delivered within agreed timelines and to the highest quality.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Tekla Draughtsperson within structural steel and architectural metalwork.
• Strong working knowledge of Tekla Structures (3D modelling and drawing production).
• Good understanding of steel fabrication processes and connection details.
• Ability to interpret structural/architectural drawings and specifications.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively within a project team.
• Excellent attention to detail with a proactive approach to problem-solving.
