About the Role
We are looking for a highly motivated and experienced Project Manager to oversee the design, installation, commissioning, and handover of commercial and industrial automatic sprinkler systems. The successful candidate will manage multiple projects across London, working closely with internal design and engineering teams, subcontractors, clients, and stakeholders to deliver high-quality fire protection systems.

Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage sprinkler installation projects from pre-contract through handover, including planning, resourcing, budgeting, and risk management.
- Coordinate with design engineers, in-house teams, and external consultants to ensure installation meets design specifications and compliance standards (e.g., British/European fire safety standards).
- Oversee procurement and logistics for materials, plant, and subcontractors.
- Manage site delivery: supervise installation crews, subcontractors, and coordinate with other trades.
- Ensure all work is carried out safely and in compliance with health & safety policies and site regulations.
- Maintain regular communication with clients, consultants, and stakeholders, providing project updates, addressing issues, and ensuring customer satisfaction.
- Monitor project costs, cash flow, and profitability; manage changes to scope, schedule, and budget.
- Drive continuous improvement: identify and implement best practices, lessons learned, and efficiencies.
- Ensure documentation is completed correctly: progress reports, as-built drawings, commissioning records, handover documentation.
- Facilitate commissioning, testing, and client handover, including training clients on system operation and maintenance.
- Support after-handover activities as needed, such as defect management or snags.
Required Skills & Experience
- Proven experience (ideally 5+ years) as a Project Manager in fire protection, sprinkler systems, or a related M&E construction discipline.
- Strong technical understanding of automatic sprinkler systems (wet/dry systems, risers, pumps, water storage) and relevant regulatory standards. Knowledge of British / European codes would be advantageous.
- Experience managing commercial and industrial projects, ideally within London or multi-site environments.
- Excellent organisational, planning, and scheduling skills.
- Strong financial acumen: able to produce, monitor, and manage project budgets, cash flow, and profitability.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills: ability to liaise with clients, consultants, site teams, and subcontractors.
- Leadership experience: managing teams of fitters, subcontractors, engineers.
- Proven ability to manage health & safety on site, including risk assessments, method statements, and ensuring compliance.
- Problem-solving skills and adaptability: able to address issues as they arise and mitigate risk.
- Proficiency in project management software, MS Office suite, and reporting tools.
- Valid UK driving licence (for travel between sites).
